The Jeep® Avenger 4xe, a game-changer in the B-SUV segment and now, Jeep is offering a behind-the-scenes look into its creation with an exclusive four-part video series. This captivating journey delves into the meticulous process that shaped the Avenger 4xe—one fuelled by real-world demands, cutting-edge innovation, and the passion of its designers.
Every legendary vehicle has an origin story—one built on necessity, vision, and relentless drive. The Jeep Avenger 4xe is no exception. Its design is a direct reflection of the Jeep Europe design team’s diverse experiences, inspired by their personal perspectives on adventure, functionality, and exploration.
In the first story, Ricardo and Lorenzo—despite their different backgrounds in Mexico and France—share the same passion and goal: designing cars that are both striking and practical for adventure and everyday life. Likewise, Dain and Sacha, from Korea and Ireland, love off-roading and nature but also seek to make it accessible for families who explore together. Later, Mitch and Federico, Italian and Swiss, along with Daniele and his team (Sacha Barber, Lorenzo Mariotti, Dain Kim, Ricardo Campos, Federico Pischedda, Lorenzo De Nuccio, Roberto Corongiu, Jacopo Demaria, Michele Sherko), show how real-life, adrenaline-filled experiences inspired the car’s most iconic features.
Practicality meets therefore adventure with key design features like rear tow hook, roof rails for extra cargo capacity and interiors tailored for both extreme exploration and everyday life. The use of robust, washable, and waterproof materials is not just an aesthetic choice—it’s a deliberate response to the need for a vehicle that withstands the elements while maintaining superior comfort and style. Designed to excel both on and off the road, the Avenger 4xe features a Selec-Terrain system for optimal adaptability, anti-scratch bumpers for extra protection, a matte hood sticker to reduce sun glare, and enhanced technical angles for tackling tough terrain. These elements embody the adrenaline-fueled experiences of Jeep’s design team, ensuring that every ride—whether through city streets or off-the-grid trails—is met with confidence.
With this exclusive video series premiering on March 10th, Jeep is offering an insight into how this vehicle was conceived by its designers. Daniele Calonaci, Head of Jeep Design Europe, shares his view: “Designing the Avenger 4xe was about more than just aesthetics—it was about crafting a vehicle that is practical, versatile, and ready for anything. Every detail embodies a function and reflects our passion for adventure, our respect for Jeep’s heritage, and our commitment to push the boundaries of electrified capability. Experience a vehicle that not only epitomizes design excellence but also enhances the journey with adaptability and innovative features.”
Tailored for the modern explorer, the Jeep Avenger 4xe represents a bold step forward in Jeep’s electrification journey while preserving the brand’s legendary off-road DNA. With meticulous attention to detail, it seamlessly integrates Jeep’s rugged legacy with an advanced all-wheel-drive hybrid powertrain. At its core, the Avenger 4xe features a state-of-the-art 48V hybrid system, powered by a 1.2-liter turbo engine producing 136 hp, complemented by dual 21kW electric motors on the front and rear axles. This intelligent AWD setup is paired with a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, enabling seamless operation in full-electric mode at low speeds.
The new powertrain delivers a top speed of 194 km/h and it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 9.5 seconds promising fun to drive in both onroad and offroad adventures.
